Chris always viewed his foggy memories of having been in the Kumite world as an impossible fantasy brought on by depression and wild imagination. But that obviously isn’t the case. He just saw actual cyberninjas in a friend’s video, which as it turns out, is prelude to an invasion by Power, the vengeful Kumite game controller.
To defeat the virus-crazed Power, Chris’ friends from his world and Kumite unite, but their success is threatened by the unpredictable actions of his virtual brother, Laster, who’s struggling to understand his newfound emotions and emerging humanity.
